Ben was born in London, moved to Guelph in 2004 and has been a resident ever since. He attended Centennial CVI and then the University of Guelph for Marketing Management. He has been an active member of the community since arriving in Guelph, playing minor hockey with the Jr. Storm, a variety of summer sports, and a number of volunteering jobs including with the Guelph Food Bank, the Coach4Food charity, the Guelph Jazz Festival, and coaching minor hockey. Many people will recognize Ben from his time at the University of Guelph’s Athletic Department. He has worked a number of jobs there, including on the fields, the Gryphon Hockey Camps, and what he calls the “all-Canadian job;” Zamboni Driver. Ben’s love for the city of Guelph and his keen interest in the constantly changing and evolving real estate market made this career path an easy decision for him. "I was a first time home buyer going into a very hot springtime market. The properties I had really liked were all getting a lot of interest and multiple offers. Seeing as this was my first experience in real estate I needed help. At an open house for another great property I met Ben Shoveller and decided that I needed some expertise if I was going to be successful in this market. Once again I found myself going into a multiple offer scenario for this property. All of the offers were very competitive but with Ben’s insights and unique strategies I was the successful offer. I’m now a proud home owner in no small part thanks to him. Throughout the whole experience Ben was accessible, friendly, honest and helpful." - Graham Osborne
