When I was in sixth grade, I got into a school yard disagreement with another sixth grade boy that resulted in a ripped jacket – his. As we were sitting down for family dinner the phone rang, and my father got up to answer it. When he had returned to the table, I noticed his mood had deteriorated appreciably. Change comes reluctantly to me. If people have tendencies, mine has been that I am a slow adapter – the slightly indignant cousin of slow learner.
